2011-2012 Sliding Scale Tuition

The chart below represents the Kelly High School sliding scale tuition

for the 2010-2011 school year. A family's actual tuition will be bsed upon

the following: 1. information from teh completed copy of their 2009 income

tax return as filed with the IRS (W-2's, Form 1040, and All schedules).

2. divorce decree and/or State Attorney General child support

documentation,

if applicable. 3. Social Security Statements, if applicable.

To qualify for categories 1-6, or a second child discount for category 7, the

above referenced documentation must be provided by April 16. If you have

filed for an extension, your 2008 tax return and your extension request will

need to be provided. Your registration is not complete until all forms,

registration fee and documentation have been received by MKCHS.

If no income tax

information is provided, the category 8 rate will apply.

NOTE: Unfortunately, due to the decline in the economy and savings'

interest rate, we find that it is necessary to discontinue the lump sum

discount for tuition. However, You will save the $41 FACTS fee.

FACTS Grant and Financial Aid

 

The sliding scale tuition provides all families with some form of financial

assistance. The actual cost of tuition is estimated at $9,455.00. The

financial assistance is scaled across all the tuition categories, ranging from

$6,955/$7,955 in category 1 to $1,355/$1,055 in Category 8.

Additional financial assistance is very limited. If you believe that you

will require additional financial assistance in order for your child to attend

Msgr. Kelly Catholic High School, an application must be completed, W-2's

and complete income tax return must be provided. Application for

additional assistance is not a guarantee that additional assistance will be

received. There is no assistance provided for fees.

To apply:

1. Select the Facts, Grant and Aid link on the left-hand side of the

school's home page.

2. CLick on the Application Sign-In link.

3. Click on Create An Account.

4. Complete the information to create your account.

5. Complete the application.

6. Fax/Mail your tax return and W-2 forms to FACTS.

If you do not have access to a computer, you may come by the

Information Center at Kelly High School, Monday through Thursday, 4:00-

6:00p.m., and use one of the computers there. The deadline for

additional financial assistance applications is April 1, 2009.
Your

application cannot be considered until the tax information has

been submitted
(if you do wish to fax your tax information and do not

have access to a fax machine, you may come by the business office and

request assistance). Upon receipt and review, the tax return will be

shredded.

A paper application may be picked up in the business office for those not

wishing to utilize the online application.

Additional tuition assistance, if requested, will be considered in the

following order:

  • --Current Kelly 9th-11th students/families;

  • --Incoming 9th students/families from feeder schools or other Catholic

    schools;

  • --Transfer 10th-12th students/families from other Catholic Schools;

  • --Incoming 9th students/families from non-feeder schools; and

  • --Transfer 10th-12th students/families from other schools.
