Great Turn Out for the Blue and Gold Alumni Golf Tournament

Nets Over $10,000 for Kelly

A return to the Bayou Din golf course brought out an enthusiastic crowd to play in the 2011 Golf

Classic. Saturday, August 20th beginning at 9:00 a.m. was a jammed packed day of golf, food,

fun and festivities. Over twenty-one teams were registered to play and did so despite the outrageous

heat and humidity. Otherwise, the day went off without a hitch, due largely to the energy, enthusiasm,

loyalty and amazing organizational skills of chairman, Mike Persia. Mike and his sidekick, Brad Klein, did an incredible

job at what has to have been the smoothest tournament yet. Joining the chairmen were numerous volunteers

ranging from alumni, students and present parents. As with all things, the success of such an event is only

possible by the gift of time so generously given by our Kelly community.
