Monsignor Kelly
Catholic High School has been recognized twice by the
United States
Department of Education as an Exemplary School. The
CatholicCommunications
Campaign, a division of the U.S. Catholic Conference,
chose Kelly
as the only high school in the nation featured in the hour-long
NBC
Special, "Catholic
Schools: A Place to Belong." The U.S. Military Academy
at
West Point
has recognized Kelly as one of its Seven Stars in Education
nationwide.
The school is a member of the National Catholic Education
Association
and is recognized as accredited by the Texas Education Agency
through the
Texas Catholic Conference Education Department. Monsignor
Kelly
High School
is a co-educational, Diocesan High School located in Beaumont,
Texas, under
the jurisdiction of Bishop Curtis Guillory. The school was
established
by the Dominican Sisters in 1895. Students commute from all
areas
of the Golden
Triangle, as well as from outlying communities. Kelly families
represent varied
socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.
